SproutBeat was a terrific product when it first came out, and now, it is challenging to describe the excellent enhancements in the new version. If I may mix my metaphors freely, I would describe it as an amazing teaching resource on steroids that has made the leap to hyperspace!
Sproutbeat has been a wonderful resource for my in person as well online teaching. With the number of resources Eik has created, I am able to customize assignments for students according to their individual needs. The app has made it very easy for students to write out answers and for teachers to correct. Teachers and students also have the option of printing them if needed. Directions on the worksheets are simple, leaving it very open for each teacher’s own unique ways of teaching. Her interactive games that supplements the worksheets have also kept my students engaged and motivated. I’ve used them often in my theory group classes. Because many of her worksheets are short and quick, it doesn’t cover so much time in the private lessons, and students don’t need to feel overwelhmed.
Over the years that I’ve known Eik, I’ve appreciated how she has been passionately in tune with the needs of her client piano teachers and how she takes the time to call and put out messages to check in with their needs. She gradually adapts to change, knowing that overtime, it would be inevitable. She addresses new needs, recently creating new templates for online teaching, new worksheets to address new music concepts teachers need, a new search engine, and now helping teachers correlate the materials with the piano methods they are using with their students. She understands now how teachers and students are getting more overwhelmed with the use of apps on their ipads and has begun to work on making it simpler for everyone, more accessible on the web browser. Thank you again Eik for everything you’ve done for us teachers!
As a SproutBeat Customer/Friend/Subscriber since the start, I have been thrilled to see the upgrades to games, worksheets, and options available. Eik is amazing! Where else can you request a specific need on the SproutBeat Facebook page for new worksheets to be added, and it’s done? My students enjoy this app – and so happy that I get to share it while teaching on Zoom, too!
My students didn’t like to do worksheets before. But SproutBeat is very cute and varied, and it caught my student’s hearts. They especially like seasonal worksheets like Halloween, Easter, and Christmas. Most students don’t speak English but they learn alphabets, numbers, colors, and musical terms in English. “Kill two birds with one stone”

I love that the worksheets use lots of colour and cute graphics – great for young kids. My favourite has to be the cards on directional reading. A well-thought and invaluable resource.
I have enjoyed using SproutBeat since it first came out. Since the pandemic, it has especially SAVED my online teaching. During video lessons I can send worksheets, have the student do the work and send them back. They appear within seconds in my “graded” folder. I then share the worksheet on Zoom as I mark it up while we discuss what they need to improve.

An excellent resource for any piano teacher. The worksheets are fun, appealing to young students, and are very comprehensive. I love being able to pull out just the right worksheet for each student.
SproutBeat is a fun, modern, and customizable resource that gives me so much as a piano teacher. There’s an incredible library of worksheets and games that is constantly growing, and the developers are quick to create new content from teacher requests. My students enjoy the activities, too. They love being able to do their theory online, and they especially love the games. My favorite part of SproutBeat is knowing I can tailor my students’ theory assignments to what we’re learning and that the theory will get done because it’s fun!

SproutBeat worksheets and games are used in almost every lesson I teach. The tab is always open on my computer and it is extremely easy to click on a folder and find a worksheet or game that coincides with the concepts I am presenting. Eik is constantly adding more to the folders and I am very excited to see the new version. My students love spending time in the app and seeing their progress. I am able to track each student’s progress and grade and return worksheets as needed. Students are quite competitive, so I like to send out reports to parents occasionally to notify them as to who is in the lead.
These games and worksheets are easy to share on zoom meetings. Students can play the matching games by me giving them control of the mouse. They can draw lines on worksheets and games using their zoom pen. It has been so helpful during quarantine. Whenever students are fidgety or need a change of pace, I can simply tell them we are going to play a game and instantly, the mood and focus changes.
When our local chapter of OhioMTA needed some worksheets and games for ear training for our Scale Olympics testing, Eik worked with me to create them so they would be tailored specifically for our event. This resource has come in very handy year after year.
This has been one of the best investments I have made in the past few years and I plan to keep this subscription going!
Digital resources for an online studio are such an important part of my curriculum! I have been using SproutBeat worksheets and interactive games for several years, and have been so pleased with the seamless transition to assigning these now as part of my online lessons.
